Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary

I made this card for my partners mum and her husband. I found this lovely image on the web and to add a bit of glitz I added a silver gem to the ring to make it look realistic. I also added shiny hearts to the greeting.

2nd Wedding Anniversary From Wife to Husband

A client wanted me to create and anniversary card for her husband. The wedding colour was orange and cream so I incorporated those colours on the card.

Thank You Teacher Cards

I work as a Teaching Assistant so thanking teachers for their hard work is very important to me. I work for 3 teacher, 2 female and 1 male so I was lucky to be able to make feminine and masculine cards. I went with the traditional apple image and went for a patchworks background. Don't forget to thank those teachers who work really hard to educate your children!

Tatty Teddy 3rd Anniversary Card

My partner's older sister and her husband celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary this week and this is the card I created for them.

Floral Birthday Card For Mum

This card was made for my partner's Mum. She likes lots of colour and flowers and came up with this!

Doggy Leaving Card

My little sister is starting a new life in a new place so she is leaving her place of work so she asked me to create a goodbye card for her colleagues. She gave me the picture to do something with and this is what I came up with.

Bouquet 60th Birthday Card

This was made for a clients friend and I was told she liked purple and flowers, so I went for a elegant country, patchwork theme.

Goodbye Monkey Card

I am a teaching assistant at a primary school and I made this card for one of the pupils who sadly is moving on to another school. The whole class wrote messages inside the card for her to read and remember. My classes name is the Clever Chimps so I found some chimp/monkey images to comply to the theme of our class. To finish the card off I added some fabric flowers to the girl monkey's head and put glitter all over the greeting letters. The card is massive so it could fit all of the class's messages in there!

Teapot Thank you Card For Nana

This card was made for my partner's nan to thank her for his birthday gifts. Like most Nans, she
likes a good old cuppa tea and thought I'd make her a pretty teapot card. To add that finishing touch I embellished the teapot with a pretty, pink flower and a teabag shaped gift tag. I hope this inspires you if you are stuck on designing a teapot card.

Father's Day Card From The Pets!

One of my clients wanted me to make a Father's Day card from their pets. I personalised the card by adding the pets names to the front of it and added paw prints so symbolise them. It turned out to be a sweet card. It was hard to make it masculine.

Me To You Accordion Birthday Card

I made this card for a little girl, who's second birthday is coming up. This is the first accordion card I've made and I'm very pleased with it. For each side of the card I used a different Me To You image and used the decoupage technique to give the images more dimension by giving them a 3D effect.
Me To You is so sweet!

Cheetah Birthday Card For A Friend

This card was made for a 10 year old girl who used to live in South Africa and her favorite animal is the cheetah. I used gold sparkly card for the background to give it a girlie feel and used animal print decorative paper to make the card stand out!

Cat In A Hat Birthday Card

I haven't posted since April and it feels weird to be on here again. Not only that, but Blogger has changed since I was last on. Occasions are a bit low on the ground between May and July as not a lot of my family members have birthdays. Here's a card I made for a 10 year old girl who attends the school I work at. Recently children have found out I make cards for a hobby and they have been approaching me to make cards for their friends. So here's what I came up with. Hope you like it!

X~Darts Birthday Card For Dad~X

This was made for my Dad who has just got himself a dartboard, so it gave me an idea for the theme for his birthday card. Yes that's right, DARTS! I chose to do a gate card (3 fold card) to give the affect of a dartboard unit which you open up and then the board is inside. I added own made darts to the front and a Happy Birthday message.

X~Tatty Teddy Birthday Card For Mum~X

This card was inspired by my mum liking all things sweet and what sweeter than a Tatty Teddy card? I found the image on the web and I cut different parts of the picture and stuck them all together by using the decoupage technique. Unfortunately the photo doesn't show off the layers. I then finished the card of with some sparkle!

X~Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card For Husband~X

This card was inspired by the recipient's passion for things that fly so I chose a not so obvious theme....hot air balloons! To give the card more of a 3D dimension I layered the tops of the balloons by sticking the bottom layer on the card flat and then folding the second layer in half and gluing it on top of the bottom shape. I have put the balloon shapes on my "free embellishments" page. I drew the silhouette baskets on with black marker.

X~Kitten Mother's Day Card~X

This card was made for my boyfriend's mother. One of her favorite animals are cats so I added the sweet factor and used a kitten image. I used the same frame as I did with the previous Mother's Day Card to make the picture stick out more. Again I went with a countryside feel by using gingham papers.

X~Photo Mother's Day Card With Horse~X

I made this card for my Mum and she likes horses so naturally I went for a horse theme. To make the card more personalised I added photos of my Mum and I and made frames to go round them to make it look more finished. Horses mean "countryside" to me so the backing paper added that country feel. I then finished the card off with a pretty ribbon and bow.

X~Snooker Themed Birthday Card For Grandad~X

My Grandad likes to watch the snooker so I decided to do a snooker theme for him. He is also going on holiday for it so that explains the greeting message on the front. I found this card rather difficult because there wasn't many images out there I could use so I did my best with the resources I could find.

X~Cat Mother's Day Card~X

Here's a lovely cat Mother's Day card. Isn't the picture sweet? The recipient likes cats and handbags so the backing paper has little handbags all over it. That's what's good about making your own cards for people, you can personalise it and possibly create a card which you will never find in the shop.

X~Quilled Flower Birthday Card For A Nana~X

This was my first attempt at quilling. I brought a card making magazine and a quilling set came with it and I thought it would make a nice change to my card designs. I really enjoyed doing it and what is a simple design it still looks effective I think.I finished of the quilled flowers by putting pearl flat beads in the middle and adding a butterfly to fill in some space. I definitely recommend giving it a go.
